Procedural Handwashing refers to the use of topical antimicrobials prior to invasive and aseptic techniques. It involves both the mechanical removal and chemical inhibition (or destruction) of both transient and resident flora.

MICROSHIELD* T or MICROSHIELD* 2 are recommended for use in these situations. Both products are available in 500mL, 1.5L and 5L dispensing options. MICROSHIELD* T is also available in 125mL.
